DAY 8

Yesterday, I went back to see my good doctor for the results of the sputum exam. I was afraid if it was a positive - a mask surely won't suit me!

And the result is --

(drum rolls, please)

NEGATIVE.

Hm. So what now?

My doctor merely said that I am not contagious any more, but I should keep on taking Quadtab for the duration of until 6 months.

At least, I'll get to kiss my nieces and hold them close again. ☺

Comments? I'd love to read your thoughts.

    1. I'm glad that I was able to help you even in small ways. TB is very treatable - remember,
"Those who matter won't mind (and will be there for you)
Those who do don't matter at all".

      Sending you healing vibes!

  3. Hi, not sure if this is still active. But this blog of yours is a gem. It's like a light at the end of the tunnel. I have been recently diagnosed of tuberculosis and like you, I never have any symptoms. I will start treatment soon. Just one question though did you do tuberculin test? My doctor is asking me to get skin test.

    1. Hi. I will have to add a new chapter soon, but it's actually still active and I would still reply to those who comment. I am so glad that you find this blog helpful in its small way. It has been more than 5 years since I was diagnosed, and looking back, I think it was a good thing that it was caught early. In my case, the pulmonologist did the diagnosis via x-ray and I went medication immediately after that. If your doctor wanted you to do the tuberculin test, I'd say go with it. Sending you healing vibes.
